Definición del término A shot taken from a moving dolly (a platform on a set of wheels). when the camera moves towards the subject, it is a "dolly in.0 when it moves away from the subject, it is a “dolly back" or a "dolly out.0 With the use of Steadicams and other mobile cameras, a moving camera may not be mounted on a dolly in order to achieve the same smooth effect. one of the early effective uses of the Steadicam is in Stanley Kubrick's The Shining, where the camera follows characters through the maze of the hotel.

Contexto del término In cinematography, a tracking shot is any shot in which the camera physically moves sideways, forward, or backward through the scene. Tracking shots usually last longer than other shots, follow one or more moving subjects, and immerse the audience in a particular setting.

Comentarios "Moving shot" es comúnmente conocido como "tracking shot" en inglés y con su acuñado en español "tracking shot", pero también cuenta con trávelin, que deriva del la palabra inglesa travelling. Por lo que también suele conocerse con esos nombres. El término más conocido es dolly shot.
