Contexto del término The final research question examined the representation of ethnicity vis-à-vis the statue. Cultural domination is a common phenomenon in Western that typically frames various elements in a eurocentric manner. The Oñate equestrian statue physically and symbolically overshadows the cultural contributions of the indigenous peoples of the area. The other proposed statues are to be approximately 14-feet tall, less than half the 40-foot height of the centerpiece statue. The height disparity suggests that the contributions of other historical figures were less important.
