A traditional occult definition states. "Magic is the art and science of using little known natural forces in order to achieve changes in consciousness and the physical environment". A more psychological definition is, "Magic... is the soul of the world creating itself, according to its own laws". From this point of view the magical realm, the occultists "inner planes" is the realm where archetypes have substance and in which we can perceive that world soul.
