| Definición del término | Avant-garde filmmaking movement started in 1995 by the Danish directors Lars von Trier, Thomas Vinterberg, Kristian Levring, and Søren Kragh-Jacobsen. The idea was to distance its filmmakers from the promiscuous types rampaging about Hollywood with their special effects and their bombastic scores. Its manifesto lists out ten "chastity vows" that defined the style of the movement. |
