multi-pitch climbing (escalada de multilargos)

Definición del término Type of climbing that follows a route with more than one pitch, that is, that they consist of more than one rope-lengths between successive belays. To climb each single pitch of a multi-pitch route, one climber must lead the pitch while the other, the second, belays the first one. When the first one reaches the end of the pitch, the leader must construct a stance and belay herself/himself to it and then bring up the second. Then one of the two climbers will lead the next pitch belayed by the other and so on until the end of the route.
